A decision will be made soon as to whether the 2007 Laconia World Championships Sled Dog Derby will be held.The race is slated for the weekend of February 9-11, but the ground is almost free of snow. The derby hosts more than 15-20 open class competitors, 30-40 limited class racers and around 10 junior mushers.The 2006 race was cancelled due to low snow. The race usually starts in downtown Laconia, but recent years have forced the start to nearby fields.
