Dan Seavey formally introduced his new book “The First Great Race: Alaska’s 1973 Iditarod” to an enthusiastic hometown gathering at the Seward Community Library Museum last Saturday. Seavey thanked Doug Capra for recording his historical narratives on audio tape and for encouraging him to write things out.
