Radio coverage missing at 2007 Rondy

For a sled dog race based on quick decision and strategy, the Rondy has always been aided by radio coverage. This year though, the radio coverage will be missing. This means that mushers will have to still make quick decisions, but decisions based on guesses, not information. Mushers and fans have been able to track the competitors as they fly around the 25 mile course with coverage from every “checkpoint” or street crossing. This year the radio coverage will be missing, but this should not remove the competition. The race starts at 12-noon on 4th and D Streets in Anchorage. Check in at mushing.com for video updates and stories from the trail.
