Yukon Quest: All but two mushers into Carmacks

Benedikt Beisch entered Carmacks at 1:38 am early Monday morning. The Checkpoint staff at Carmacks is awaiting the two remaining mushers, Bob McAlpin and Kyla Boivan. The middle and back of the pack filled in the dog yard by midnight, with the majority of the recently arriving mushers camping in Carmacks.Mushers have reported fast hard trails and a crazy ride through the infamous ‘Pinball Alley’, a ridgeline that descends down onto the Yukon River.Still no reports of mushers in at the McCabe Creek Dog Drop. Because it is not an official checkpoint, mushers do not need to sign in and out, however Dog Drop volunteers will often keep us posted as teams move through on their way to Pelly Crossing.
